March 16... English, please?

Today, me and my family attended our first Thai baptism. My grandpa has been married to a Thai woman for a little over a year now, and her brother decided to be baptised into the LDS faith this Sunday. So our little white bread family gathered together some food and went right on over to the Thai/Laotion Ward. And it was quite an adventure.

Many of the members do not speak english, so half of the talks were in Thai. This was interesting, because my family doesn't speak Thai. Haha... so we just hung tight for a bit and pretended to understand what was being said. The baptism went well, and it was a very neat experience. The food was delicious- I tried a bunch of weird food I've never tried, including bacon-covered shrimp. Yes, this was definitely not your everyday family get-together.
