June 5... Viva La Mexico!

Today, our family gathered our belongings and found our way through the airport.

Destination: Atlanta, Georgia.

Yep. That's right. That lovely state, known for its peaches and lovely accent.... at least I think so. We didn't actually leave the airport. However, it was still a new thing, a new state, and an adventure in itself. We didn't get much time to survey, because we had to head straight for our other plane... this time Destination Mexico.

(Ai ai aieeeeyyaaa!)

We arrived to this lovely country late at night. I remember the humidity was crushing my lungs, but I was happy to be there. As we attempted to leave, we were hounded by lots of pushy guys, trying to get us to buy a timeshare... it was quite interesting. After we found our tour guide, we had to take an hour long drive to Playa Del Carmen, where we were to spend the rest of our time. We arrived at the lobby a bit tired, but excited, because... our resort was all-inclusive. Know what that means?? Free pina coladas, anytime, anywhere. As soon as we walked in, a man came up to us and got us free drinks. It was all good, until I noticed my mom wasn't eating her Strawberry Daquiri. I immediately knew why. She had forgotten to order it without alcohol.

Without really thinking, I took it and stared at it for a moment, then took a sip. The taste haunted me the entire trip. It was completely revolting... not sweet and not delicious in any way. I do NOT know how people can drink this stuff. Anyways, there you have it, I tried alcohol in a Strawberry Daquiri. I guess what happens in Mexico stays in Mexico. Except when I put it on my blog. Oops :)

I totally laughed outloud about the daquiri thing. We gotta watch your mom and her boozin'. And now, apparently, we have to watch you too. Maybe you could bring some to the party on Sunday; that would definitely liven things up a bit! Wait, you're not even 21 yet!!!
